LEE MILLER MONOGRAPH

This is a three-volume series dedicated to preserving the life work of Lee Miller. Each book is a chronological documentation of Lee Miller’s work categorized into her three main subjects: Fashion, War, and Friends + Travel. Each page of these books was hand-chopped, awled, and Japanese stab-bound. The papers used are a mixture of different textures and weights to add to the archival feel of this book; they also function better with the challenges Japanese stab-binding can cause with larger publications.

Three books kept together in a slipcase. The white, red, and blue stitching represents each book's subject; Fashion, War, and Friends+Travel. The three colors are also tribute to the three countries Lee Miller spent most of her time; France, Great Britain, and The United States

Lee Miller serves as a significant source of inspiration for me. Her unwavering perseverance and authentic approach resonate profoundly in her body of work. I am committed to ensuring that my own endeavors authentically reflect my values and personal style, mirroring the integrity that defines Miller's artistic journey. Her surrealist perspective not only documented history but also transformed it, adding a unique dimension to her work. The ability to navigate diverse fields while maintaining distinctive characteristics is a testament to the greatness of Lee Miller's contributions, and it motivates me to similarly embrace versatility without compromising my individuality.
